Markers per chromosome

How many positions your test read on each chromosome.

DNAtest360 is for education and entertainment only. It isn't a medical test and doesn't diagnose, treat or predict any disease. Sharing a lineage with an ancient person means sharing a distant common ancestor, not direct descent. Talk to a doctor or genetic counselor about health questions.

How it works

Three steps, about a minute, and nothing to sign up for.

1

Download your raw data

Every major testing company lets you export a raw data file. It's free, and we show you how below.

2

Drop it in

Your browser reads the file locally. There's no upload and no account, and no one else ever sees it.

3

Meet your ancient lineages

See a free preview of your Origins Story in about a minute. Close the tab and every trace of the file is gone.

Questions

Is my DNA really never uploaded?

Yes. The analysis code runs as JavaScript in your browser, and there's no server endpoint that accepts DNA data. You can check this yourself: load the page, turn off Wi-Fi, then analyze your file. It still works.

Which files work?

Raw data exports from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA and Living DNA. Upload the .zip exactly as you downloaded it, or the .txt/.csv inside it.

Is this a medical test?

No. DNAtest360 reports well-studied traits for education and entertainment. It doesn't provide medical diagnoses or disease risk.

Why is a trait marked "not in your file"?

Each company tests a slightly different set of about 600,000–700,000 markers. If your chip didn't include a marker, we can't report that trait.
